The one thing you can be sure of when you go to the theatre is that nothing is ever what it seems to be..... NO DIRECTION by Albert Welling is a new play that deals with the contract between actor and audience. It leads you on a delightfully original and absorbing journey though some of life's trickier moments - loyalty, friendship, betrayal....
Two men set off on a mission with no leader. One of them seems to be running out of steam and the other has dreams to pursue. When there's no one around to tell them what to do or how to do it, there's a fair chance that it will either end in tears or in comic chaos or both!
Starring Ronnie Toms (The Rising, The Sociable Plover) and Albert Welling (Dr Who, Cemetery Junction, Endeavour), and directed by Bob Golding (Star of the Olivier Award winning play Morecambe), No Direction is a funny, moving, fast and sometimes furious piece of theatre that leaves you with a spring in your step and plenty to talk about afterwards. The show premiered at The Place Theatre last February and then returned during the summer as part of Bedfringe, and we are very happy to welcome them back to the venue again as part of a warm up for their performances at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Note that this show contains some strong language, and may be considered unsuitable for children under 14.
