Thebes is at peace. A bloody civil war has torn the city apart. Family fought family, neighbour fought neighbour. From the poorest to the richest, no one was spared.

Now with a new king on the throne the people of the city begin to put their lives back together. But how long will this piece last? A dark shadow hangs over king Creon and his niece Antigone threatens to destroy him before he has even been crowned.

North Hertfordshire college present Antigone. In this new telling of an ancient Greek classic we are asked the question what is truly important, family or state?

This production is performed by first year and second year students on the Level 3 and Level 3 extended diploma in Performing and Production arts.
