Father JC has come out…of the pandemic wanting to bring people together in song and celebration. JC’s 1st mass is going to be life-changing, majestic, iconic, epic, glamorous and just fabulous! He just needs to write it first. He ropes in the help of a local DJ to bring the big hymns, the bops, the beats and anthems! What could possibly go wrong?

This hour long show explores club culture, Irish Catholicism and queerness through stand up, live music and audience interaction. 

Multi-award nominated artist, Laura Wyatt O’Keeffe began exploring her relationship to her queer, female and Irish identities during Soho theatre’s drag king workshops. This exploration led to the birth of a queer, Irish catholic priest called JC. 

JC has graced the stages at Soho Theatre, Roundhouse and the Clapham Grand, even performed the sacred rituals at All Together Now, Wilderness, Latitude, Mighty Hoopla and Margate Pride. Father JC’s Holy Show is his first national pilgrimage.
