In Spring 2020, photographer Chiara Mac Call found a way to create community and connection during isolation. Using her permitted daily exercise, she visited families via their windows and doorways, taking portraits from the pavement and capturing moments that overcame the distance between us. All those photos of Bedford and Bedfordians taken in the early months of lockdown are being brought together for the first time in exhibition at The Place Theatre, running from 15 Feb to 31 March.

Join us at 7pm on Friday 16 February for an Evening of Reflections with photographer Chiara Mac Call, hosted by Jo Hudson-Lett, with live music by My Girl The River on Friday 16 February at 7pm. Interweaving sound and image, tears and laughter, past and present; the evening will be an opportunity tofind out more about the author, the project and how music has come to be a part of it.
