Playwrights Circle

A friendly and supportive writing circle in which playwrights can share their work
and work-in-progress and actors can practice their reading skills, run by Bedford
Playwright Hazel Fattorusso at The Place Theatre.

The new Place Playwrights Circle is an opportunity for writers of all levels to share up to
10 minutes of a new play. This can be a short play in its entirety or an extract from a
longer piece.

The circle is a safe place for writers to try out new work, where supportive and
constructive feedback will be provided to one another. Participation in the group is free of charge.

Furthermore, it is also an opportunity for actors to practice their reading and auditioning
skills, as well as participating in a supportive discussion on the piece they have read.
The evening will run from 7.30pm to about 9.30pm and each piece will be read, followed
by positive feedback from the circle.

Directors, actors, readers, producers and other creatives interested in discovering new
plays and the theatre are also more than welcome to come along.
