Puncture The Screen is a yearly data driven digital art and performance festival run by Chronic Insanity. It consists of digital art and performance, workshops, panel discussions, and educational opportunities for creatives and audiences alike.
The festival is designed to show the full innovative strength of digital art and performance, showing off its accessibility, sustainability, inclusivity, and affordability for creatives and audiences alike. The festival will run 16th-17th July (12:00-19:00 each day) as a hybrid event, both in person at Broadway Cinema in Nottingham and online via a number of streaming partners around the UK. All the events that make up the festival will be available on demand for at least two weeks afterwards. A full programme of events can be found here.
The festival organisers, Chronic Insanity, are an award winning theatre company from Nottingham who create and facilitate live performances in traditional, found, and digital spaces. They are currently in the middle of completing their third consecutive 12 shows in 12 months project.
Access information for the events in the festival, including content warnings, is constantly being updated and can be found here.
This event is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
