Join Bedford Drama Company for their Puppet Workshop on 1st March 2024. Suitable for anyone aged 13+

The workshop will be lead by Heather (she/her) who is an actor, puppeteer, voiceover artist and facilitator, trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Heather worked with puppeteer director, Jimmy Grimes (War Horse, The Hundred and One Dalmatians, Mr Gum and The Dancing Bear) whilst training at drama school, bringing inanimate objects to life by using spatulas as fish, black umbrellas as cormorants and wooden crates as boats! This sparked a love for puppetry which since graduating, she has taken the time to explore further and has gone on to work using puppetry as an actor as well as directing puppetry. 

Heather is excited to be sharing her love of devising with puppets in this Bunraku inspired puppetry workshop, exploring movement, breath, characters and loads of fun!
