Read Poets Society returns to The Eagle Bookshop for the Autumn Season! Join us once a month for some seasonal readings.
October 3 – Bibles and Other Banned Books – at the end of Banned Books Week, an opportunity to showcase the evils of censorship of poetry, prose and drama throughout the world, throughout time, including the October Testament is the English martyr William Tyndale.
November 7 – A Hallowe'en Look at Magic and Magicians – from Prospero to Harry Potter, from Dr John Dee to Dynamo, magic has produced some sparkling prose, poetry and drama.
December 5 – When Willy met Annie; Shakespeare and Other Lovers – a romantic evening of prose, poetry and drama celebrating 439 years of that horse and carriage, love and marriage.
