The ReVerb Project is a partnership between The Place and Pathways (part of King’s Arms Project). This is an opportunity to see life through the eyes of another and for voices that are often hidden or unheard to have a platform. It is inspired by hope and the belief that lives can change and there’s ‘no such thing as a hopeless case’.
For this in-person event, which follows on from the first ReVerb that took place online in March, participants have stepped up to host. In some cases the work has been developed, stories are being continued or something entirely new has emerged.
Some contributors are reading their own work, whilst some is read by other members of the local community on their behalf. The ReVerb Project has enabled a ‘holding space’ for those participating to create extraordinary connections with their listeners.
Stories cannot demolish frontiers, but they can punch holes in our mental walls. And through those holes, we can get a glimpse of the other, and sometimes even like what we see – Elif Shafak, Turkish-British novelist and public speaker.
All money from ticket sales will be split evenly between The Place and Pathways. You can find out more about Pathways here: kingsarmsproject.org/pathways
