The Walker children are given permission to camp on an island in the middle of a vast lake. Four children (the Swallows) on holiday in the Lake District sail on their own to an island and start a war for control of the island with rival children (the Amazons) a gang of local youths.
In the meantime, a mysterious man on a houseboat accuses them of a crime they did not commit. Based on the classic children’s stories by Arthur Ransome
