Alongside the movie-concert Right in the Eye, these workshops offer an introduction to the movie- concert, the early days of cinema and the moving image until the advent of the cinematograph. It also looks at the discovery of Georges Méliès’ works including viewing of short films by the Lumière brothers and by Georges Méliès and explanations of special effects and visual tricks.

CREATIVE WORKSHOP The creative workshop covers discovery of animated pictures and optical toys and object manipulation.

Duration: 60 – 90 minutes. 

Suitable for ages 8-11 and 11-14.
