Wootton Upper School present Our Country's Good By Timberlake Wertenbaker 1st and 2nd March at 7:30pm (Thursday and Friday)

Now recognised as a modern classic, Timberlake Wertenbaker's inspirational play is set in a penal colony in 1789, where a young lieutenant directs rehearsals of the Restoration comedy 'The Recruiting Officer'.

But with a cast of dispirited convicts, opposition from sadistic officers, and a leading lady who faces being hanged, Australia's first theatrical production is in trouble from the start...

Recommended for 11 years of age and above.
