Bring poetry to life through drama and dance in this exciting two-day workshop created especially for BRAVE Theatre Group students – with the chance to perform a piece at The Place Bedford on 17 January as the curtain raiser for Colours of a Woman’s Love by Debbie Ganguli-Patel.
About the Workshop
Explore powerful poems by Maya Angelou, Carol Ann Duffy, Sylvia Plath, and Christina Rossetti, and discover how to express their words through movement and storytelling.
Guided by Debbie Ganguli-Patel, Bharatanatyam dancer and choreographer, and Ishani Priya Patel, writer and dancer, students will experiment with movement, emotion, and rhythm – creating a collaborative theatre piece to perform on stage alongside other BRAVE students.
