Man or Bear

Blending kitchen-sink realism, music and bold physical sequences, it follows three generations of women in the lead-up to an act of violence. Rather than centring the perpetrator, the play turns its focus to women’s resilience, humour and solidarity, offering a poetic and unsettling reflection on modern day misogyny.

Trigger Warning – Man or Bear is a dark comedy that explores serious themes surrounding violence against women and girls, misogyny and abusive behaviour. The production includes strong language and references to sexual violence, coercive control, domestic abuse, stalking, self-harm, suicide threats, bereavement, femicide and animal cruelty.
