For some time we have been asked if we serve food prior to performances and unfortunately that had not been possible due to the fact that our ‘kitchen’ was not suitable for food preparation. Thanks to a grant under the Arts Council’s Cultural Recovery Fund last year we have been able to put in a proper commercial kitchen with appropriate equipment so that we can meet all necessary food hygiene requirements.

From the survey we carried out earlier this year, and we were very pleased at the large number of responses, we have been able to set up our initial offer.

As part of our overall commitment to achieving a sustainable future we will be offering non-meat choices and where possible a vegan offer all presented in biodegradable boxes and utensils. This also has a practical purpose as the kitchen is not big enough for us to be able to have a separate safe preparation area for meat and we do not believe that the turnover will enable us to keep meat safely. Most of the food will be prepared on site.

 

WHAT IS AVAILABLE?

We are now offering the following food options for specified performances, identified on the website, which will be available to order at the time of booking. 

TIFFIN BOX

Contains: Vegetable Samosa, Pakora, Onion Bhaji, Bombay Aloo and Spring Roll
Allergens: Dairy, Gluten (wheat)

TAPAS BOX

Contains: Calamari, Mushrooms with garlic, Empanadillas (mini tuna puff pastries), Patatas brava, Sliced Tomato and Onion salad Allergens: Gluten (wheat), Dairy, Shellfish/Fish

PLOUGHMAN'S BOX (v)

Contains: Vegan cheese, Coleslaw, Apple / Tomato Pieces, Pickled Onions, Freshly baked Bread Roll & Green salad
Allergens: Gluten (wheat), Vegan friendly as we use vegan mayonnaise

WHEN WILL IT BE AVAILABLE?

All food orders will need to be placed 24 hours prior to the day before the performance. This will enable us to make sure that the food is available early enough for you to eat it prior to the performance. Usually, we will aim to have the food ready about an hour beforehand so that you can enjoy it in time.

WHAT SHOWS ARE ELIGBLE?

As we gauge the popularity of our food offer it will only be available on certain shows which will be indicated on the website. This season the shows you are able to get food are:

WHAT IS THE COST?

All our boxes are priced at £7.00.

HOW DO I ORDER?

When buying a ticket for one of the shows eligible for our food offer, you will see an option named FOOD BOX. Please select this option as well as your regular ticket (Adult, Child, etc.).
 
Next you will be taken to your cart, please proceed through the payment process as usual until you enter the “Extras Info” tab. Here you will be able to add your name and select the type of box you wish to purchase. You will not be able to complete your payment process until you’ve selected your option.
 
After you’ve selected your food box option, you will continue your payment process as usual.
