Great news!
Thanks to some additional funding from Bedford Borough Council’s Town Centre Priority Fund we’re really excited that we’ll be able to move this wonderful live experience into Bedford Town Centre on Sunday 27th June.
Plans remain the same, with the same time slots for experiencing the live event, but now we’ll be relocating into Harpur Square, right by Bedford Central Library, allowing us to literally see the town from a different angle.
It’s really important to us that we’ve been able to do this – The Place Bedford is working hard with other local partners, including the council, to help people see the town in a new way as people start to re-engage with public spaces again. By moving our event there we know that many more people will be aware of it, and many who may otherwise miss out on the experience will be able to join us for this wonderful free event.
If you needed another reason, the date coincides with Made in Bedford’s Summer Makers Market, happening just around the corner in St Pauls Square – a perfect double-bill of quirky crafts and cloudy stories! Finally, because it’s a Sunday you don’t need to worry about car parking charges in any of the council-run car parks, so no need to rush off at the end of the event – why not stay in town and do some summer shopping? Or perhaps grab a drink and some food in one of the wonderful riverside bars and restaurants?
If you need directions to nearby car parks, amenities and stores we recommend using the LoveBedford website
We look forwards to seeing you in town for a brilliant midsummer event
