Communities of Bedford – We need your help!
With lighter evenings approaching and restrictions beginning to lift, The Place Bedford are looking forward to the Summer and planning what we hope will be a great mix of outdoor programming for the whole community.
We have secured funding to make our outdoor space fit for outdoor performances over the summer and autumn but this funding only stretches so far, so we are reaching out to our local communities and local businesses to see if you can help to get us ready for Summer 2021.
We are looking for usable garden chairs (wooden or metal please – no plastic) which we could use for our outdoor seating provision during the summer period. We are happy to take items which may need a little TLC as long as they are in a usable condition and are items that can be easily stored. At the end of the Summer, items that we are unable to keep will be re-donated or disposed of.
All items that we are able to use will form our audience seating for our summer events and help us to bring some great performances and events to our local communities in style!
We will be holding drop off sessions for people to bring their donations down to the theatre on the following dates and we will have volunteers on hand to take collection of your items between 1000-1600:
24/25th April
1st/2nd May
8th/9th May
We will also be offering a date to come and collect items if you are unable to drop them to us. Just email ea@theplacebedford.org.uk to arrange.
