Shakespeare In A Week – Youth Summer Course

Bring Shakespeare to Life — With a Modern Twist!

This one-week intensive programme invites young people ages 16 – 21 years to step into the world of Shakespeare — but not as you know it. Together, we’ll reimagine one of his iconic plays in a fresh, modern context, making the story bold, exciting, and relevant for today.

Over the week, participants will:

• Develop stage performance skills through practical, hands-on training
• Work as an ensemble, learning the power of collaboration and teamwork
• Gain confidence by stepping into the spotlight and expressing their voice
• Be mentored by theatre professionals, who’ll guide them through text, character, and performance
• Perform a modern retelling on stage, sharing their hard work and creativity with a live audience

This isn’t just about performing Shakespeare — it’s about making the words your own, discovering new ways to tell timeless stories, and building the confidence to shine both on and off the stage.

Workshops run 10am – 4pm each day. Course costs £150/student

Showcase at 6pm on Friday 21st. Tickets £10 each.
